The first, and probably least expensive step to setting up your site, is to Register a Domain Name. Here are a few sites that offer this service at a reasonable price: Host Monster or GoDaddy.

Getting a Hosting Service
Typically you can register your hosting service at the same site. Host Monster and GoDaddy also offer Domain hosting services as well.
